These 4 ingredient granola bars are amazing treats that are not only sweet and savory, but also incredibly healthy! The bananas are high in potassium and the rolled oats are low glycemic. The walnuts have healthy fats which help reduce sugar cravings and pitted dates are loaded with essential vitamins and minerals, giving you lots of energy for the day! Bring these to the office to share with coworkers or get your kids involved with making this easy and fun recipe!

► INGREDIENTS
– 2 ripe bananas
– 1 tsp. of vanilla extract (optional)
– 2 cups of rolled oats
– 1/4 cup of Walnuts
– 1/4 cup of chopped pitted dates

►DIRECTIONS
1. Add the bananas to a bowl and mash them with a fork until they are a soft, pasty consistency (no lumps).
2. Add vanilla extract and mix thoroughly.
3. Add the granola, walnuts and pitted dates and stir until ingredients are fully mixed together.
4. Place the mixture on a baking tray and spread out in a square shape, pressing the mixture down to create an even layer.
5. Preheat over to 350 degrees and place granola bars in the oven to bake until a golden brown color (about 30 minutes).
6. Remove tray from oven and allow to cool. Cut the granola bars into squares and enjoy!

Protein Shakes
This is the #1 go to staple by far! Protein shakes are the quickest meal as they are liquid. SLAM IT. Take two scoops of whey and you can either add a tablespoon of natural peanut butter and or a fruit on the side depending on your goals.

Home-made Protein Bars, or Store Bought
Natural Protein bars are great because they are packed full of nutrients, taste great and are very portable. If you are super pressed for time buying a quality protein bar with natural ingredients is fine as well

Beef Jerky
Real beef jerky is totally cool. Its high protein, tastes great and is very portable. WHERES THE BEEF? In your stomach.

Goat/Greek Yogurt:
I’m the strongest supporter of goat products. Yogurt is great for your gut and comes in an easy container.

Boiled Eggs
It might be stinky, but its also healthy for you. Eggs are a complete protein and the good fat will keep you full longer.
Women: 3 boiled eggs
Men: 4 boiled eggs

Sardines
If you thought eggs were stinky, you’ll really be popular with sardines. They have the good Omega 3 fats, taste great and are filling.
Canned Tuna or Salmon
Canned fish + Frank’s Red Hot Sauce has saved me more than a couple of times. This completes the trilogy of stinky snacks.

Trail Mix
A custom made trail mix of dried fruit, nuts, seeds and maybe some beef jerky is a well balanced source of energy and nutrients.

Nuts
Almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds are all great sources of fat that will stave off hunger

Fruit
If you are super pressed for time, one piece of fruit is better than eating nothing.
