8/16/09 Message – MIND THE GAP: The Gap Between COMPLACENCY & CALLING

Good morning to each of you. We’re sincerely glad you’re here with us today. May you sense God’s presence, love and direction through today’s service. We have prayed for you!

We’re coming toward the close of our “Mind the Gap” series. Today we’ll be in the section of Revelation where Jesus says to the church – to us –, “Here’s where you are. Here’s where I want you to be. There’s a gap and that gap can lead to spiritual death for you and those who need My church to be spot on where I want.”

In today’s section, Jesus gives an honest assessment, and it’s not pretty. But He does it in love. Jesus always does that. He said, “The truth – meaning God’s truth – will set you free.” In His words we’ll discover truth, love and a pathway to move us to where He wants us to be as we close that gap.

I hope you’re fully engaging with us in the 40 Days of Prayer and Fasting. As we get serious before God, He raises our spiritual temperature, and that’s what we all want in our walk with Him.
