I am in the middle of a longer fast than I have been doing. Absolute dry fasting without a shower or contact with water.

This is day three. I started at 7 pm after dinner, 3 days ago, so 72 hours so far. and adding tonight another 10 hours.

Dry fasting is a great way to cleanse and purify the body and get free of processed food cravings.

I am planning to switch to a water tomorrow and continue the fast for another week or more if I can. then I will drink coconut water for a few days and then go back to simple foods, steamed zucchini, sweet potatoes and gradually add greens, legumes, fruit, and salads.

I prepared over an 8 month period with a spudfit mono-diet for a couple of weeks: https://www.mindbodyclarity.com/becom…

Then went on to do Chef AJ’s whole-food plant-based diet to get free of food addictions, heal chronic fatigue, depression, fibromyalgia, and general pain.

After I had been eating a healthy diet free of flour, sugar, dairy animal products and oil for several months (not perfect but with very few cheats and fewer cravings as I went along)

https://www.mindbodyclarity.com/plant… and had already lost 40 pounds, I began adding intermittent fasts for 16 to 20 hours per day.

Eating 1 or 2 meals within a 5-hour window. then I turned those fasting hours into dry fasting until that became easy.

One Day of dry Fasting is equivalent to 3 days of water fasting in that fats, tumors, and toxins begin to be broken down to create water and fuel much faster.

I have done 7-day water fasts in the past, but dry fasting is actually easier for me because there is nothing going into the stomach and stimulating the digestive system or causing hunger.

I forgot to mention in the video the bitter taste in the back on the back of the tongue. this may clear up if I fast long enough.
I have also been dry brushing the skin and using a tongue scraper.
I plan to continue intermittent fasting every day as part of the healing and maintenance process.
