Houdini RBD Bullet Test






My first shot at a pretty advanced Houdini RBD Bullet Destruction rig courtesy of Steven Knipping at http://www.appliedhoudini.com. The system is super fast, scalable, and 100% procedural. It makes heavy use of fast VEX / Attribute Wrangle SOPS, geo instancing and packed primitives. It was a pretty steep learning curve, but the results are amazingly detailed especially for sim times under an hour. Rendering with mantra was about 2-3 minutes per frame. Next step is to test different layers of materials and textures, and finally the atmospherics.
