Although the majority of the numbers for daily fiber intake put out by the American Dietetic Association are recommendations, there is no concrete number that one should aim for everyday, instead a healthy range would be more optimal and realistic.

Consuming fruits and vegetables throughout the day should help you reach these goals, but also keep in mind too much fiber can have negative effects as well!

A healthy number would be around 15g per 1000 calories. So if you are on a 2000 calorie diet, 30g of fiber should be sufficient!
