We are walking for the second time with my nine year old son Sebastian to raise awareness on his Type 1 Diabetes (T!D) and we want you to join us. He was diagnosed on August 11, 2014 and since then, our life has changed.
Sebastian & Diabetes
Before every meal Sebastian checks his blood sugar at least 4 times a day, he has a strict diet and has daily insulin delivery to his body by an insulin pump (thanks technology). Having a healthy blood sugar level is key to ensure he lives a long and healthy life.
Thanks to JDRF and advances in technology, children like Sebastian now can enjoy of an insulin pump and a blood glucose monitor, but there is a LOT more that can be done for T1D children to enjoy better life.
How can you help?
