Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Undergraduate Jet Flight Training has identified a requirement for landing gear overhaul and maintenance for the T-34C and T-44 aircraft primarily utilized for naval aviator training at NAS Corpus Christi, TX.
This work is currently being performed by the U.S. Navy at an organic Fleet Readiness Center facility. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 336413, Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Services (except factory conversion, factory overhaul, factory rebuilding). The Product Service Code (PSC) is J016 (Maintenance and repair of aircraft components).
Overhaul/repair efforts encompass all labor, services, equipment, tools, facilities, technical data, and parts and material in support of approximately 104 T-34C and 54 T-44 aircraft landing gear sets.
The period of performance will cover a one-year base period and four twelve-month option periods. Formal RFP release is planned to occur in December 2013 with proposals due 30 days after RFP release.
The Navy is providing the following information for industry consideration: (1) Draft T-34C and T-44 Overhaul/Repair Performance Work Statement (PWS) and (2) Listing of Government Furnished Property, Listing of Landing Gear Weapon Replaceable Assemblies (WRAs), Listing of Landing Gear Cost Reimbursable Components.
