Total Gym Strength Training for Figure Skaters

In this video clip, I demonstrate a complete strength training workout for figure skaters, performed entirely on the Total Gym. I begin by demonstrating the following six lower body exercises:
- Flying Sit Spin Squat
- Loop Take-Off
- Side-Lying Sit Spin Squat
- Plie Squat
- Hamstring Pull
- Adductor Pull
Next, I demonstrate six core and upper body exercises. I've been talking with my coaches about the importance of conditioning these muscles for good posture during skating as well as for good checks. Exercises include:
- Advanced Core Extensions
- Shoulder Press
- Prone Pull Up
- Roll Up/Curl
- Chest Press
- Seated Row
These exercises can be performed on other equipment, but the Total Gym really makes it easy to transition from one exercise to the next. I really love this product...it makes my home gym complete =)
