While others were devastated from Hurricane Sandy, we set out to make the most of her. Spin it for a positive. And so we did. I have been scouting several seasonal creeks in and around Western NY for the last 3 years, and waiting for ‘the perfect storm’. I needed the ground to be partially saturated, then a mass of rainfall in a couple days, and then a free day at work to make the stars align. Frist we got on a very small creek that is normally a trickle, with some scary horizon lines and fast drops in shallow water. Then, we hit up a further south creek that I have had my eyes on even longer. Good times, good times.
