This month's Healthy Habits Challenge at Radiance Central is to drink a green juice every single day for the month of May!

In my last video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSfOFxL8P0A), I did a video demo showing how to make a green juice with a blender and strainer (for those that don't have a juicer and want to do the Healthy Heabits Challenge!). I received a lot of questions and comments about why I remove the fiber and pulp from the juice: Why not leave the fiber in? Don't we need fiber?

I take the fiber out because I am drinking the green juice as a supplement - a fresh, nutrient packed, concentrated juice supplement, and I don't want the fiber to interfere with digesting and absorbing all the nutrition in the juice.

Green juices are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino acids, enzymes, etc., and the less my body has to work to absorb it, the better. If I wanted to have a liquid meal, that is nutritious and filling, then I would leave the fiber in, and have it as a green smoothie. But I'm not drinking green juices to be full or to have as a meal, I'm drinking them for the concentrated nutrition that I know is more bio-absorbable than any pill supplement out there!

A few month's ago I read Tonya Zavasta's Guide To Ageless Face (http://amzn.to/1E8sCrx). She was saying in her book that when she goes on tours and gives lectures, she can tell who in the audience is drinking green juices regularly, they just glow! I agree with her 100%, you can see it in people's skin and complexion. I've been drinking green juices for 15-20 years now, and there's times where it falls out of my routine, and I feel the difference big time.
